Why did I choose my major?

Hello classmates and Miss! 

When I was in high school, I always wanted to study a career in the humanities. I liked pedagogy in history and journalism. I was a good student and people criticized me a lot for what I wanted to study.  

At the end of high school, I decided that I wanted to study journalism. The main reason was  that I liked the world of communication, reading and writing. I discarded pedagogy in history because I did not like the new educational plan that the Ministry of Education implemented. My family supported my decision.  

I am currently studying journalism at the University of Chile. I decided to study here because I want to be a good journalist, such as Manola Robles. Also, I really like the subjects and what I have learned despite the pandemic. 

I like my career and the impact it has on society.

My name is Isabella. I am 19 years old. I have a dog. Her name is Canela. I living in Puente Alto, Santiago. I have always lived in Puente Alto.  

I am studying journalism because I love to read and write. One of my dreams is to write a novel about magic. My favorite book is Looking for Alaska. I also like anime, my favorite series are Naruto and Shingeki No Kyojin. The last series I saw was Banana Fish. 

My family is very small. I have my mom and I also have a little sister. I live with them, my mom’s boyfriend and my pets Canela and Princesa. I like to live in Santiago because it offers many opportunities and I also feel that my whole life is here. However, in the future I would like to travel outside the country.
